Aargauer Kunsthaus

The “Swiss Pop Art” special exhibition at the Aargauer Kunsthaus provided the first-ever comprehensive overview of this significant art movement in Switzerland. In two distinct sections, the accompanying book explores the phenomenon beyond the realm of visual art. While “POP” examines the Pop Art phenomenon within a societal and political context, drawing on a variety of visual sources and archive materials, “ART” catalogs the exhibition, showcasing the most important works by local artists such as Franz Gertsch, Rosina Kuhn, Urs Lüthi, Max Matter, Markus Raetz, and Peter Stämpfli.
