Commissioned by the City of Zurich, Raffinerie created the “Energy Mountain” in the ewz substation in Selnau, highlighting the need for sustainable construction. 500 cardboard cubes, each featuring printed images of pioneering Swiss architectural buildings, were stacked into an installation measuring nine meters in height. Inspired by thermal imaging camera shots, the characteristic color gradient served as a template for the exhibition, catalog, and posters. The exhibition was created in collaboration with Holzer Kobler Architekturen.
